Projects

We are at the very beginning

and support families to rebuild and repair their accommodations. We also provide a financial bridge until they are able to once again make a living. Therefore we help them help themselves!

We initiated these two projects and consider them as long-terms activities, i.e. we expect supporting them for 2 years.

Lotus Flower Kathmandu

Local management/coordination: Mr. Laxman Shrestha
Head of the orphanage www.lotuschildrenshomenepal.org and thus an experienced organizer. 
Identifies and coordinates, together with his wife Laxmi and 11 children, aid for families in the vicinity of and in Kathmandu on behalf of Nepalhilfe.ch. 
To some extent, a nearly Herculean task. Laxman and team are power people with lots of charisma.

Supports benefits:
Families in Kathmandu and the surrounding area as well as orphanage with 11 kids and 2 adults.

Project Details

Sunrise Pokhara

Local management/coordination: Mr. Kul Prasad Gautam
Kul is an experienced tourist guide and small farmer. He is already coordinating and supporting, together with his son, aid to some 160 families in villages near the epicenter and managing the Nepalhilfe.ch project in the greater Pokhara region. He is also arranging need for aid services and coordinating work. 
His wife, Durga, 3 children or young adults live with him as well as his Buffalo cow Kali with a calf and some goats. His home, the Nice View Cottage, with one (partially destroyed) guest room where tourist can feel at home, round out his profile. As is the case with Laxman, we were fortunate to find a charismatic group.

Supports benefits:
Families, farmers, and trekking guides, primarily at home on the "Hillside Pokhara" as well as to families around the city of Pokhara.
