Under the name "Dolalghat Beautiful", the project responsibles bundle all activities not only to make Dolalghat even more beautiful, but also to help people in need to have a better life.

 The founder of Dolalghat Beautiful André Corell took over a small hotel in Dolalghat in 2021 that had been closed for a long time. Thus, he was able to give some residents a job in this village. Due to the extraordinary location at the confluence of 2 large rivers, it is named: Dolalghat Beach Hotel.

Fascinated by Dolalghat, which is only about 50 km from Kathmandu, and the center of a region of many small villages, André decided to found a non profit organization in this town to help the local inhabitants enhancing their lifes. Any profit from the hotel goes to this charity.

The focus of the charity initially consisted of helping the local inhabitants with one meal a day, as well as feeding animals with a small amount of food.

In the meantime, we have been able to make some improvements in the local school, and are now in the process of bringing the common vision of an organic agriculture and improved health care to life in our village.

We at Shelter Nepal would like to request your support. This can be in the form of donations, (we will report transparent of its use), or you could also visit Dolalghat and help on site. For this purpose, we offer discounted hotel stays.
